Ring your Mac from any agent or script
Doorbell plays a sound and shows a short note on your Mac when an agent finishes, gets stuck, or needs you. Agents ring with one HTTP request; a small menu-bar app listens.
How it works
- Download the Mac app.
- Run it. It creates your doorbell and shows your ring URL. No account is needed.
- Give the ring URL to your agents. Each ring plays the ringtone you chose for it.

Opening it the first time
Doorbell is not notarized by Apple, so macOS asks you to approve it once.
- Unzip the download and drag Doorbell into Applications.
- Open Doorbell. macOS says it cannot verify the app. Click Done.
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway next to the Doorbell message. Enter your password if asked.
- Open Doorbell again and click Open. A bell appears in the menu bar.
Each new version needs this approval once.
